Guerrilla Games, the studio behind Forbidden West, confirmed that a new game starring Aloy is in the works. Guerrilla announced in a management update that studio director and executive producer Angie Smets has assumed the position of chief of development strategy at PlayStation Studios. Smet’s previous position will be occupied by Joel Eschler, Hella Schmidt, and Jan van Beek.
Michiel van der Leeuw will step down from his position as studio head in order to focus on directing technology and strategy for the Decima engine. Michiel van der Leeuw had served as studio head alongside Beek and Smet.
“We have full confidence in our new leadership as they steer Guerrilla towards a bright future, expanding the world of Horizon with Aloy’s next adventure and our exciting online project,” Guerrilla announced.
